“So that we can comfort others.” This verse is just so perfect in the description of how we should be towards others. Whether it be someone going through a tragic event, or struggling with sin. I don’t get why we don’t give the same grace, comfort, love & affection to those who are struggling, especially when that same grace, comfort, love & affection is what brought us out of the darkness and into the light.
Why do we forget all that God has done for us when we see another struggling? Shouldn’t the memories flood our minds of the way God loved & comforted us through the hardest of times? The word if very clear about what we are to do to those who are in the same place of struggle as you once were. Very few people will come to know Christ by someone pointing out how “broken” they are, or how bad of a sinner they are. Although I do believe we should all help each other grow in the Lord and become more like Christ, I do not believe that is done by pointing fingers and throwing the bible at others. We should walk with them in grace & truth as we love them into Christ’s arms. The Spirit of the Lord is the one that convicts, we just love.
I have always been a firm believer in reaping what you sow… There will come a time in all of our lives that we need grace and comfort from God & those He has surrounded us with.
Love wins… Grace wins…
