Dwell In You // Colossians 3:16

In order for something to dwell in us richly it means we must be fully open to all, that it comes with. Often times it seems so much easier to pick and choose what pieces of scriptures we want to “dwell” in our hearts. The truth is, that’s not how it works.  In order for the Word of God to truly dwell in us all richly, we must fully submit to it. When we allow the Word of God dwell in us richly it opens the floodgates of heavens to work miracles in your life and those around you.

When the Word of God dwells in us richly we are enabled to fully teach others and lead them into a deeper relationship with Christ. Without first knowing and allowing the Word to penetrate the depths of our souls, how can we expect to lead others? We can only lead others to a place where we have gone before.

When the word of God dwells in us richly we are able to admonish other believers. To admonish means to warn, or urge someone earnestly. The problem I feel that is often expressed today is that too many believers don’t try to admonish others without first truly knowing the heart of God. Instead of loving others to the cross and walking with them through the journies of life, often times fingers are pointing and sins are pointed out. In order to admonish properly, we must have a firm grasp of the word of God so that we can admonish with all wisdom.

Allow the word of God to dwell richly in your heart so that we can be prepared to love others to the cross. We should all seek to know His face so we can tell others about it. If you don’t seek after God how can you expect to adequately explain God to others? It’s an investment with an infinite return.

Love wins… Grace wins…
