I cannot help but be completely overwhelmed with this verse and what it declares to us all! God FREELY and GRACIOUSLY DECLARES that we are righteous.
Freely as in we did not deserve it, we did nothing for it, and there is nothing that we can do it. Graciously as in a kind, courteous, loving manner. Declaring with POWER. Not just simply saying it, but declaring it to be known by all. When things are declared they are declared without a shadow of a doubt. Righteous as in excellent.
It’s crazy to think that in all our sinful natures that God would willingly send His son Jesus to die for us, but yet we continually reject Him. It’s crazy to think that after all God has done and continues to do for people He is rejected. It’s crazy to think that God went completely bankrupt with sending His one and only Son to die a horrible death for us all, but yet… That’s not enough?
At times I would even go as far as saying it is heartbreaking to me. On so many fronts! We have Christians walking around depressed, defeated, ashamed and miserable. We have a world full of people chasing things that ultimately lead them to nothing. We have families breaking up over money, pride, the next person, etc… We have kids being born into chaos. When will it be enough?! WHAT ELSE does God need to do besides sending His son to die on the cross, so we can walk in righteous with the spirit of God empowering us to be world changers…
What else can be done?
It’s time we all walk in what Jesus died for and live out the things God has called us to do. No amount of money, fame, power, strength, fitness, etc… will ever compare to the glory that awaits us when we live for eternity.
