#VOD: John 3:16

“For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life. “

Christian or non-Christian, there is a good chance that this verse is familiar to us all. I have seen time & time again the focus of this verse when it comes to salvation, but today I want to approach it from a fresh perspective.

You see, God gave His one and only Son for us all. Not just to be saved and go to heaven, but the be active & alive NOW in our communities. God sent Jesus on a mission with a purpose to restore mankind to Him. We all have this same purpose in our lives today!

For God so loves this world that He saved Nicholas to preach to those who are in need. For God so loves this world that He saved (Insert Name Here) to accomplish what alone (Insert Name Here) can accomplish. So that no one will perish and ALL will have eternal life.

It is not enough for us to rely on our Pastors to do the redemptive work God has called all of us to do. We all have a part to play in God’s great restoration for this world, and as this world spirals more and more out of control it is even MORE vital that we all step up and be what God needs us to be.

What Jesus did isn’t the end, it was only the beginning of so much more. I promise you that a faith-filled life is the most exciting and incredible thing that will ever be experienced. The love you find in THE Church (Big C) is beyond anything you will ever experience. When you find yourself around a group of loving believers, in the Church that Jesus died for there is nothing greater.

What has He called you to do? What’s holding you back?
