#VOD: John 5:24

“I tell you the truth, those who listen to my message and believe in God who sent me have eternal life. They will never be condemned for their sins, but they have already passed from death into life. “

One thing that has really been standing out to me in my study time is purely obedience. Simple, unwavering obedience. Throughout the Gospels, it is seen that those who listened received an abundance of return on that faith. Those that question, did not.

Think about it. When Jesus calls the disciples, they all dropped what they are doing and instantly followed Him. Don’t you think that they had questions, concerns & what if’s? We all have those. When it doesn’t make sense to do what God is calling us to do. That it seems impossible to accomplish what He is asking us to start doing. That it seems like there is absolutely NO way that is is a “smart” decision.

We all find ourselves in these positions where we can feel God calling us to do something, but our mind starts to battle with what God is asking us to do. So we put it off, ignore it or simply NOT even acknowledge it. Truth is, that’s why so many Christians are missing out on an incredible life. That’s what so many of us live a mediocre life that never points anyone to Christ.

I look at the faith in the people God has put around me and I see God moving in their lives! My Pastor is a barefoot preacher dude from the south (accent and all), that left his families farm, moved across the country to preach in a town that is not a highlight of California. He gave up what was comfortable and guaranteed to chase what God called him to do. It’s incredible. It’s inspiring to see what God can do when we simply obey…

Don’t question just obey. It is an incredible life.
