“Therefore, go and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and the Son and the Holy Spirit.”

It is a command ya’ll. Jesus has given all of us the command to go and make disciples of all nations. This has been a huge area of lack in my life. Yes, I pray, read, go to church, serve, tithe, etc… BUT if I look at my circle of friends there is no one I am actively disciplining.

I know for myself, and for many of you, there are a million excuses why we aren’t in the “position” to disciple someone else. For a majority of us that is a lie. If we have been actively seeking the Lord, we should naturally find others that are “younger” than us in there walks with God. Just because we don’t know it all, doesn’t mean we can’t walk with those younger in their faith and learn together. There are countless resources that are available to prepare and actively walk through the process of disciplining.

In reality, it’s not that difficult of processes. At the core of disciplining it is simply walking through life with someone and pointing them towards God. Yes, there is a method and guidelines that we should turn to and encourage the process of disciplining, but those are things where you learn as you go.

Regardless of where you are in life. If you have been walking with God already, it is time to start praying for God to put someone in your life that you can walk with. Someone you can meet with, be there for, guide in Godly matters, and ultimately watch them flourish as they seek Christ in their own lives…

That last part is the key… There will come a point in your life, where you must send those off to walk on there own. At times, it will hurt a lot. There will be seasons where God calls you away from the person who has become your best friend so that He can form that relationship with them. It may be hard to let them go, but if God is calling them to continue the journey with Him on there own we must let go…

No matter where you are at in your walk with God. It’s time to start praying for God to prepare you to disciple someone, to pray for someone to disciple you, and for you to pray for the person He needs you to disciple…
